Geek trend setters Apple are rumored to be examining tech gadget support for skiers and snowboarders.
Apple Insider, a tech site featuring rumors of new products from Apple, discovered a recent patent filing in the US which shows the possible development of a gadget to track a skier’s speed and air time.
The device will also work for snowboarders as an image of a snowboard part included in the detailed patent. According to Apple Insider the device would carry a micro processing unit and would use sensors to calculate time spent in the air, along with time spent skiing and snowboarding altogether.
Apple has not confirmed the rumors.
The company sells a product called iPod Nike Plus which allows runners to track distance travelled, speeds and sync the information on their Apple devices.
