Previous efforts to have a halfpipe installed at the famous French resort have failed but will a new campaign using Facebook work?
Kieran MacDonald Sharp, with the aid of more than 500 Facebook followers (so far) are asking the new management at Chamonix to consider building the resort’s first halfpipe this winter.
Despite previous promises of sponsorship to maintain the halfpipe the idea has previously been declined. However, Sharp along with his online followers, are hoping the new director of the area may be persuaded.
“We’re not asking for anything massive – just a 400m pipe like Zermatt’s would be enough to keep local riders happy” Kieran commented.
