The International Olympic Committee president says he supports women ski jumpers, but not for 2010 Games.
This is the news from IOC president, Jacques Rogge, who made the comments in a letter to 14 female ski jumpers currently in a lawsuit with the 2010 Olympic organisers.
In the letter Rogge has repeated the IOC’s previous position that ski jumping for women wasn’t technically ready for the Olympic games in 2010.
Rogge says the IOC believes there will be a strong case in the future, starting at the first Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2012.
Action for women to be included in the 2010 Olympic games started after the IOC voted to include women’s boxing at the 2012 Games.
