Photos: Treble Cone’s November Charity Day

Even after a month of being officially closed Treble Cone still has plenty of snow on it. Our New Zealand correspondent, Matt McPhee, was on the ground at the annual charity day and has these pictures to share.

Treble Cone still has plenty of snow on it now, a month after the mountain closed for the general public. But as has been the case for the last few years, Tim Hudson, Manager of the Treble Cone(TC) put on another well organised and attended charity day. All proceeds went to the local St Johns Ambulnace service, and fair enough too, they do a lot of trips up the TC road taking broken skiers and boarders to hospitals etc. Hopefully we’ve gone some way to paying for a new ambulance for the area.

The weather and the snow both come to the party as you can see from the pics, and it was easily the busiest charity I’ve been to over the last few years. All-in-all it was a great day with good times on the hill and a BBQ was fired up once the lifts were closed.

That’s pretty much the season from the South Island of New Zealand – and I’m already looking forward to next year.
