Ski train to launch in Canada

Work has started on a project to connect skiers and snowboarders from Quebec City to the slopes of Le Massif.

According to an article by First Tracks Magazine, a train will accommodate up to 560 passengers from Quebec City to La Malbaie, along 85km of riverside scenery along the three and a half hour route.

The company also plans to establish twin rail shuttles accommodating 228 people to a daily link between the ski area and Baie-Sant-Paul. The train is expected to begin operation in 2011.
