After recent rainfall the Australian resort is on the way back to recovery after a fresh 30cm of snow fell overnight.
According to the snow report 30cm (1 foot) of fresh snow has fallen across the upper mountain overnight. As of 8am the snow is still falling with strong winds and cooler temperatures.
20cm of new snow has fallen on the mid mountain and 15cm down in the village. To add to the new cover snowmakers have been firing 200 snow guns across the mid to lower mountain for 14 hours straight. Visibility is expected to be poor and 8/14 lifts are open.
Other resorts in NSW have also reported snow overnight.Nearby resort, Perisher, received 12cm of new snow reported from the mountain. Sewlyn saw 15cm of new snow and Charlotte Pass has reported 10cm of fresh.
Further south the Victorian ski fields were also blessed with new snow – 13cm was reported at Falls Creek, 17cm at Mount Hotham, and 12cm was reported at both Mt Baw Baw and Mt Buller.
