Video Roundup: Boost Mobile SnoSho 2009

The Boost Mobile SnoSho was played out at Perisher on the weekend and saw Canadian, Mark Sollars, take out the prize winning $20,000 cash. Here’s the video wrap-up from the event.

While the weather wasn’t kind down at Perisher Mark Sollars landed every trick required to take out the title on the night.

“I’m so lucky I was able to pull off the tricks tonight,” said Mark. “I really had to fight to win as the competition was tough. I’m super stoked with the prize money, thanks to Boost Mobile.”

In the world’s longest rail contest Robbie Walker slid 39.95m to win $5,000 cash. In the SnowSho Jam session riders were allowed to try whichever tricks they could to impress the judges. Scotty James, at just 15 years-old landed his first double back flip in competition.

The six top scoring riders who made it through to the SnoSho final were Mark Sollars (Canada), Marko Grilc (Slovenia), Jacob Koia (New Zealand), Robbie Walker (Australia), Eric Willett (USA) and Jye Kearney (Australia). The unique game show style format saw riders perform tricks randomly selected from a spinning game show wheel and with each successful trick, the judges awarded a letter to spell the word B-O-O-S-T.

Winner – Mark Sollars
