Want to be a ski bum?

Sun Peaks Resort in Canada has announced its “I Want To Be the Snow Bum” contest, giving one lucky snow bum the chance to win an all-inclusive stay for 3 months of the 2009-10 season.

Who doesn’t dream of being a snow bum this upcoming season? Sun Peak Resort in Canada have kicked off a competition that will include a season pass, food vouchers, accommodation at one of their hotels, plus the equipment thrown in for good measure.

To win the prize the competition is asking contestants to submit a 60-second video on why you should be chosen as the resort’s official ski bum for the season. The competition is looking for creativity, originality, humor, and on-camera presence. The comp is open to any intermediate skier or snowboarder over 19 years, anywhere in the world.

Instead of shovelling snow for $7 an hour the winner will be expected the world updated via social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and blogging.

Videos need to be submitted before Sunday, Nov. 15. Sun Peaks’ judges will announce finalists on Nov. 19, who will undergo an interview and written-essay assessment. The winner will be announced Dec. 1 and begin their three month stay on Jan. 4, 2010.
