The New Zealand ski area has received 50cm in the last 48 hrs, 74cm in the last week and is enjoying a good base of 150cm. And more snow is in the forecast for the next couple of days.
Dave Wilson, Ski Area Manager, said the ski area had enjoyed a dream start to the season which was continuing with this latest snow dump.
“Everyone was beaming ear-to-ear today as they skied knee-deep powder,” he said. “Awesome snow falling with little winds has created near-on perfect conditions at Mt Hutt for the school holidays.”
Mr Wilson said they had lined up holiday programmes catering for novice to advanced skiers aged from six to 17 years old for the holidays. Also, the Skiwiland Early Learning Centre will also be open catering for children aged two to five years.
